Dolenjska

Dolenjska is a hilly sub-region of main region Posavje on southeast part of Slovenia, which is surounded with rivers Sava from the east and river Krka from the west. Dolenjska is known as the coolest part of country for vinegrowing. With its uniqueness, diversity and great potential, Dolenjska is acknowledged as region of future who can grow top quality grapes and tremendous wines with great potential thanks to ripe high acidities which are one of signature characteristics of Dolenjska wines.
